Quite a First!

Molly Seidel finished second in the U.S. Olympic marathon trials last weekend, making the Olympic team–in her first-ever marathon! The only woman who beat her? Aliphine Tuliamuk, her friend, who encouraged her through the final six miles.

She wrote on social media:

“Aliphine, you are an incredible woman and one of the all-around nicest people I know. And now you’re the freakin’ MARATHON TRIALS CHAMPION! You’ve showed me an indomitable spirit can do anything; I wouldn’t have made this team without your strength and support those final six miles. You deserve every second of this joy.”

It’s heartwarming to see competitors work together to achieve something great. Love it!

I love to write. I primarily focus on female characters who become more beautiful and powerful, but I also write just about everything else, from poetry to comedy to horror. I have a number of short stories freely available on writing.com, deviantart.com, and superwomenmania.com.
