Brilliant writer. I can see why he is so popular. His writing is bold and dramatic. It drips with sensory description. He is so good at using every sense to give it an immersive feel.
I’m reading Misery based on SleepySerpent’s recommendation. I love his description of Annie. It is as much about how she comes across to the protagonist as it is about how she actually looks.
I’m enjoying the story much more than expected. I find myself admiring how he crafts the sentences and paragraphs.
Reading well written fiction is such a great way to learn how to write. It’s so much more helpful than the “how to” books I am muddling my way through.
